Smart Power Supply Unit with Smart Power Management (SPM)
Security Function and Energy Efficiency Upgrade
Revolutionize your Power with Thermaltake
Taipei, Taiwan-May 31st 2016-Thermaltake releases the Toughpower DPS G RGB Titanium Series (850W/1000W/1500W) and Toughpower DPS G RGB Gold Series (650W/750W/850W). The Toughpower DPS G RGB Series is the world’s first PSU series pre-installed with an ultra-quiet 140mm patented RGB fan. To deliver unbeatable performance for Virtual Reality (VR), the Titanium Series and Gold Series utilize the highest quality components as well as 100% Japanese capacitors, and provide a 10 year warranty. The Titanium Series features a 32Bit Microcontroller Unit (MCU) from STMicroelectronics. The Gold Series also adopts a 32Bit MCU made by Microchip Technology. Most importantly, both PSU Series are compatible with the Thermaltake Smart Power Management (SPM) Platform (dps.thermaltake.com). To help users easily understand the status of their PSUs. All the data will be summarized into four different types of SPM Reports, including ECO Report, Energy Consumption Report, Energy Saving Plan and a newly added function called Efficiency/Wattage User Behavior Report. Additionally, Thermaltake has taken PC security protection as the highest priority while developing the upgraded version of the SPM platform. Hence, users are able to monitor their PSUs anytime anywhere with the Warning Alert function as well as the PC Off Remote Control, an innovative new feature of the SPM platform. Thermaltake Toughpower DPS G RGB Titanium Series and Gold Series will be be available in the 2nd quarter, and are on display at the COMPUTEX Taipei 2016, during May 31st (Tue) – June 4th (Sat) 2016 in TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall (4th floor, booth number M110); we look forward to your visit!

The newly added functions – the Efficiency/Wattage User Behavior Report and PC off Remote Control – of the SPM platform aim to help users easily monitor the energy consumption of their PSUs. In the Efficiency/Wattage User Behavior Report, the watts consumption and efficiency of their PSUs are displayed in a dot chart; therefore, users can easily understand the distribution range of their power consumption. The report will also suggest the right PSU for users to achieve maximum power efficiency based on the power usage. The PC Off Remote Control is a remarkable security protection feature of the SPM Platform. To minimize the chances of burning the internal components of your computer, the system will automatically send users a warning message via the DPS G Mobile App 1.0 when it detects any abnormal situations from the PSU. Hence, users can immediately turn off, schedule a turn off or even reboot their PC through their mobile devices anywhere.

As a green pioneer in power supply unit, Thermaltake not only focuses on bringing inspirational products to the PC DIY market but also desires to create a green life for the next generation. Many local computer retailers and manufacturers from different countries, including Taiwan, United States, United Kingdom, Germany, China, and many more are supporting the Smart Power Management (SPM). Through the SPM platform, users can alter their energy consumption behaviours, reduce CO2 emissions and eventually protect the environment. Let’s go green with Thermaltake!

TT Power VR Ready

To offer the highest stability for the system while running Vitural Reality, Thermaltake Toughpower DPS G RGB Titanium Series (850W/1000W/1500W) and Gold Series (650W/750W/850W) are designed with a high amperage single +12 rail. In addition, the Toughpower DPS G RGB Series feature continuous power output that enables the PSUs to operate continuously up to 40℃/104℉. Moreover, the Toughpower DPS G RGB Series come with sufficient PCI-E 6+2 pin connectors, allowing users to install multiple mainstream graphics cards to enjoy Virtual Reality.

What is Smart Power Management (SPM)?

Thermaltake would like to raise the awareness on global warming issue to all PC DIY/ PC users through Smart Power Management (SPM) platform. SPM is a cloud computing platform that tracks and analyzes PC electricity consumption, allows user to observe and learn their own energy consumption whereby alter their behaviour to achieve the goal of reducing CO2 emission together to contribute to slowing global warming.

The New Functions of the SPM Platform

DPS G Smart Power Management Cloud 1.0: Efficiency/Wattage User Behavior Report

Users can access the Efficiency/Wattage User Behavior Report to understand detailed information like the number of watts consumed during a specific time period. The energy conversion efficiency of the PSU will also be indicated in the report. All results are displayed in various types of graphs to help users easily understand the complicated numeric data and their usage behaviour. Through the Efficiency/Wattage User Behavior Report, users can also readily know how to choose the right PSU for their system.

DPS G Mobile App 1.0: PC Off Remote Control

Users are capable of accessing the power usage data through Android or iOS devices anytime and anywhere. Real-time warning alert will be sent out from DPS G PC APP 2.0 to the SPM once the fan fails, when the temperature is overheated (over 140℉/60℃) or even when the voltage is over/under 5% of the normal voltage level. Meanwhile, the SPM will push the real-time warning alert to DPS G Smart Power Management Cloud 1.0 and Mobile App 1.0 immediately to minimize any potential damages caused by PSU failures. Through the PC off Remote Control function, users can immediately turn off, schedule a turn off or even reboot their PC through their mobile phone or notebook anywhere to provide the best security protection.
